Hi, is this reading log very important on our grade, will it mark us down, because I’m not a very strong reader.
    Thank you.

  2. silver215 Says:

If you look at the sheet I gave you on the first day of school (the yellow one), it tells you that your Independent Reading grade is worth 15% of your overall grade. That includes the reading log and bringing an SSR book to class every block day.

  3. Lila Vera Says:

Ms. Sliver, I forgot the name of the book you are reading right now and was wondering what it was, because I really enjoyed reading “the Hunger Games” and it looks very interesting. I think I would enjoy it alot.
    Thank you

  4. silver215 Says:

Lila, It’s called The Maze Runner by James Dashner. Also, have you read the sequel to The Hunger Games? It’s called Catching Fire and it is one of the best sequels to a book I’ve read.

  5. Kassi Wisbaum Says:

    Ms. Silver,
If we get an A+ on our reading log when it’s due next week, will it bring our grade up a lot? Or will it just bring it up a little?

  6. silver215 Says:

    Kassi,
It could make a difference, being that Independent Reading is 15% of your total grade.

  7. Casey K Says:

so if I’ve read about 2,000 pages, how many ec points do i get?

  8. silver215 Says:

Every 200 points over 1200 is an extra credit point.
